{Solved} Failure Configuring Windows Updates Reverting Changes Error

Many times it happens the user faces the error of Failure Configuring Windows Updates so during this time the user should now turn off the computer. The computer usually takes 20-30 minutes to make changes.

Method 1: Clear Windows Update Cache

Stage 7: Open Windows File Explorer.

Level 8: Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download.

Stage 9: Delete all files.

Step 10: Click the services icon.

Level 12: Finally, reboot the computer.

Method 2: Run Windows Update TroubleShooter.

Step 1: Firstly, download Windows Update Trouble Shooter from Microsoft.

Stage 2: Secondly, click next to run the tool.

Level 3: Finally, after troubleshooting is over, try running Windows Update.

Method 3: Reinstall Windows

It might happen that the above two solutions don’t work then you can use this solution to get the desired changes.

Step 1: Firstly, Right click on This PC icon on the desktop and select Properties.

Final Words

The computer will be in a clean boot state after the restart. Try updating Windows then & see if the error is gone.

If these solutions resolve the problem, enable one disabled service at a time on the Services tab and then restart your computer.

If the user hasn’t created a restore point before, he/she can perform a reinstallation instead. Any user can use Windows DVD or USB driver – Windows installation media and perform a complete reinstallation of your operating system. This should resolve the Windows updates installing problem.
